F.A.Q

The 8H Bike Race of Spa takes place on the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps – STER, located at Route du Fagnou 4, 4970 Stavelot.

The circuit measures 7 km per lap.

Yes. To ensure the safety and quality of the experience, the number of participants is limited. We therefore advise you to register as early as possible.

A precise timing system is put in place:

  • Electronic chip:

    • In solo: the chip is fixed to the bike

    • In a team: the chip is placed in a relay container

  • Live display: rankings visible on screens in the race village

  • Rankings by categories (Solo, Duo, Team)

  • Last round taken into account: only rounds completed before the end of the 8 hours count

  • Final results published online after the race and sent by email

The tracking and rankings will also be available through the official app.

Each category has its own ranking with magnificent trophies at stake.

Other special awards will also be presented, including:

  • Fastest Lap (Best Lap) – Male & Female

  • Title of Local Legend

    ... and other surprises!

NEW: This year there are two new concepts 💥

  • Challenge - 4 hours
  • Sprint - 2 hours

Here, participants registered for the Sprint (2 hours) are ranked separately, just like the participants in the Challenge (4 hours).

  • The relay zones are clearly marked and secured

  • Race officials monitor the proper conduct of the changes

  • The canister containing the chip must be transmitted in the red zone

  • The two bicycles must be completely stationary during the relay

  • Each bike must be equipped with at least one bottle holder, ideally two

In case of non-compliance with the rules, time penalties may be applied.

You can collect your race number at two times:

  • Friday 24 July: from 5pm to 9pm

Parking STER, in front of the circuit

  • Saturday 25 July: from 8am to 9:30am

    Riders Check-in, on the circuit

Yes, a "mechanic" stand will be present at the race village, ready to solve all your racing-related issues. In case of a problem on the circuit:

  • You must return by your own means or contact a member of your team

  • No direct intervention by the organisation on the track is planned

Safety is a top priority:

  • Professional medical team on site

  • Central emergency station + mobile teams

  • Mandatory briefing before departure

  • Secure change zones

  • Emergency response vehicle on permanent standby

  • Lighting recommendations if conditions require

Fair play and vigilance are essential throughout the event.

  • Families and friends are welcome (free entry)

  • Spectators have access only to the track, not to the paddocks

  • The paddocks are strictly reserved for participants

  • Toilets are available in each paddock

  • The paddocks are covered, protected from the elements, and also serve as changing rooms

  • A village with food trucks is planned

  • Each participant must come with their own bike
